Mysterious pandemic lights go out, leaving many disappointed
2 min read
They appeared suddenly, just when they were needed most: lights, 53 of them in the shape of Nevada — white and red dots on Black Mountain. They appeared in April, just as the hundreds of neighbors around them closed their houses to the world as a pandemic attacked.
Eric Echevarria, 52, died Wednesday evening in a crash. The driver who police say hit him is now facing charges of DUI and reckless driving resulting in death. His family members, co-workers, and friends tell us Eric was a loving man who seemed to be everyone’s best friend.
This time, Shelby Harris wasn’t there to knock down Derek Carr’s 2-point conversion pass in the closing seconds. Darren Waller hauled in Carr’s 2-point conversion pass with 24 seconds left Sunday and Las Vegas rallied past the Broncos 32-31.
